South Korean authorities have demanded that Terraform Labs (LUNA) co-founder Shin Hyun-Seong, also known as Daniel Shin, testify as part of an investigation into the firm’s collapse. The Seoul Southern District Prosecutors’ Office announced that Shin should appear before prosecutors later this week. Terra’s co-founder allegedly held a large number of LUNA tokens without investors’ knowledge and made more than $105 million in profits from illegal sales before the firm’s collapse.Shin’s lawyer said, “Reports that CEO Shin Hyun-Seong made profits by selling Luna at a high point or other illegal methods are not true.” According to information available online, Shin has not been involved with Terraform Labs since January 2020 and continues to work on his fintech firm Chai Corporation, where he is currently CEO.Terra co-founder Do Kwon has also been targeted by prosecutors as part of multiple global investigations into the firm. After the collapse of Terra, rumors about Kwon’s whereabouts have constantly increased, but Do Kwon has repeatedly said that he is not a fugitive. The South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs invalidated Do Kwon’s passport after an order in October.Terra’s co-founder also faced the reaction of many crypto users on social media who lost money after the collapse of Terraform Labs.
